Patrons register by going to any public access computer and logging onto www.netlibrary.com. At the top of the screen, near the upper right hand corner, is a link to create a free account. Once they click on this link, they will be asked to create a username, password, security questions, and input limited personal information. The bottom of the registration page should indicate account affiliation with the Brownwood Public Library - TSLAC Public eContent Collection.
Once the account is created, patrons may access their account from anywhere, so long as they have Internet access. Even though they may log in from anywhere, the account will always be affiliated with the Brownwood Public Library, and will always access Brownwood's available eContent.
Logging In:
Once the account is created, patrons can go to http://www.netlibrary.com from home (or anywhere) and log into their account. At the top of the page, near the left side, is a link to log in. Once the user logs in, there will be a display at the top of the page that says "Welcome to the Brownwood Public Library - TSLAC eContent Collection" so that users know that they are accessing Brownwood's offerings.
From this page, patrons can search for content using a variety of methods, including full text, author, title, or subject. From the search results page that follows, users will see the title and brief description of each item. Below the description are links for “View this eBook”, “Show Details”, or “Add to Favorites”.
